more than a few good men

More Than A Few Good Men is the title of a forthcoming anthology about "what it means to be a good man today." The book will include essays from a variety of sources: businessmen, convicts, soldiers, street musicians, etc. There is also a contest, wherein the winning essay will be included in the book. Essays are due by May 1st; follow the link above, and good luck.

I looked at the site for the contenst, disappointed that it is only open to men. I suppose there is an experiential part of this, but I thought it would be interesting to see this from the POV of mothers, lovers, daughters, grandmothers, even. Hmmm

Yes, that is a little disappointing, I agree. Maybe the second volume will discuss healthy masculinity from the feminine perspective. Or maybe we should put together such a book, and pitch it to Skinner House!
