vespers

We're planning a Vespers service for next Tuesday--a time of quiet contemplation, before the holiday hustle-bustle takes over. I am surprised by how many people have never heard of a Vespers service. Maybe I learned it from Boy Scouts, maybe I'm just a worship geek (!). Maybe it is proof of a level of theological illiteracy in our culture (UU and United States).

Regardless, our interfaith service is going to be lovely. We will offer real quiet, and gentle music, and a visceral experience of calmness. And there'll be hot cocoa after!
